I’ve been doing field recordings for many years. my objective is to collect and archive the sounds and noises that surround me. the world around us is in a constant state of change, and the sounds we hear every day can be history the next, either forgotten or totally replaced by new, more modern ones.
making a sonic portrait of the environment at this time in history is a very personal task. Just selecting which of the sounds of your surroundings to capture, such as a backyard, a parking garage, your work place, or the park next to your home, means a great deal.

field-recording is meditation; it’s at once an act of total relaxation and of deeply connecting with the world. Just turn the mic on, stand still, open your ears, and listen to the sounds and noises around you on your headphones while you observe the scenery.
